... and what a strange experience it was too! Once they had drained their pint I started to get very sweaty and faint :-[ they had to put cold cloths on me and all sorts - has anyone else had this?
Other than my funny turn it wasn't too bad really. I hope it is of some use to someone!

Mostly matron types, but a lovely girl had to sit with me for 15 minutes when I finished and she was tidy to say the least :D
I could have stayed for longer were it not for working this afternoon :(

Well done... I give every time I am allowed, so every 16 weeks and I think you can reduce it to 12 once a year :-/ :-/ :-/
Which reminds me, I must be due again soon :y :y :y

Yup, got me bronze card about 2 years ago, but not given for about 18months due to tattoo and holiday. Due to go next time though - June i think. :y :y

You should have seen the reaction when I told them I'd given a pint/arm full when in Mombassa - the Aids capital of the world.

how did you find out the total units you've given? :-?
-
I was in hospital a few years ago as i had some internal bleeding in my stomach, had to have 3 units of blood to get me sorted .A while ago i tried to give blood to return the favour ,only to be told i couldn't as i had an increased risk of CJD ! nice. There is also an issue with organ donation,so i'm no use to anyone! no doubt about it though, giving blood is a vital service so keep up the good work !
-
My local vampires dobbed me in to my GP last time I tried to give blood ---- had a very (VERY) high BP :-[ Funny tho -- they treated me like an unexploded bomb !!!!
Anyways -- not allowed to give anymore :'( So the missus gives hers instead :y
