Yes, yes.... I have been 'ORDERED' to rejoin this numpty fun-club by he who must return my car jack, so here I am again.
Thank you to the many, many who contacted me in my absense. The one e-mail flooded in. :-/
Anyway, I am back so hi-de-hi to all, well nearly all. there are a couple of people who had a few things to say when I left at Christmas. They know who they are and they needn't ask me for any favours!
So. Whats been happening around here then?

I did see Tunnie and his senator yesterday. All I can say is that is one sorry looking thing. Needs a HUGE amount of TLC and definitely a lot of sorting out. I have seen worse, but man.... that is terrible.
The Senator was quite good though!

Cost me £30 in fuel there and back :'( - Bloody Jaimes fault, hard work keeping up with him!
If i drag the 2.2 up there for a diff party I will have to leave about an hour earlier! ;D

You should only lose a cupful from fuel filter - seems like more, as a little petrol seems to go a long way (ask LB66 ;D), except when its going through 3.0l of Vx power...

Next time LB is doing a fuel filter change, I want to try arc welding. Judging by the smell of petrol on him later that night, I think it could be 'enlightening' to say the least.

I once saw a triumph Dolomite fuel tank launch itself about 30 feet into the air when someone decided that filling it with sand or water or something inert rather than petrol fumes and oxygen wasn't really necessary to safely weld a patch on to it.....
a nut job from Bladon....... who was never let anywhere near any of MY cars ever again.....

I wonder if you've given any thought, as the most Omegarified man on earth, to whether there is a "critical mass" of Omegas at which point things start imploding and weird stuff starts happening beyond the normal happenstance of vapourised heater bypass valves and orbiting oil coolers ....
is it possible to get SO many omegas in one place that they all start working properly without such tender ministrations as we lovers of said vehicle are all too familiar with.....??????

The kind doctors may have disconnected your back from your pain sensors but thats no reason to go leaning over V6s, you know they arnt good for your health and the drains have only just recovered from that (slightly) leaky facelift.
Anyway welcome back...Im away to my bed now to (hopefully) dream about Andrea Corr polishing my leather seats.

Oh did we laugh! To see this red eyed monster screaming in utter agony - oh stop it, my sides are alreay hurting from last weeks surgery.....
And then, as if that wasn't enough fun...... I had to witness Marks hop-a-long impersonation. With Daves petrol eyes, Marks gammy leg and my knackered back we made a right sorry site....

What sort of a project fin? Engine trouble, accident damage?

how about going out and finding a deer..... and hitting it with an Omega at 70.....
then we can all have BBQ venison burgers while watching McBurger magic return the meega to pristine, or at least working, condition.... all for 50p and a bag of jelly babies.
I have an f'ing HUGE Gas BBQ to use for that project :D
(that obviously was the mistake I made last year...... Not getting the BBQ ready in time.... or Calling McB instead of Direct Line....... )
alternatively there's my Elite, In need of Cam belt, water pump, New primary cooling fan, possible oil cooler, and air con condenser.... and gawd knows what else........
should keep you ALL busy for 5 minutes while I make a brew ......

Incidentally...... found this 'interesting' MV6 on ebay. I am not interested in it, but can anyone spot what is wrong?

Imo I would say its a Tourer a mate of mine had a gold one and looked just the same, dont know where the mv6 came from perhaps he copied someones elses listing or added it to make it more appealing.

I contacted him on day one. Here was my question:
hi. What makes you think this is an MV6? It has Tourer wheels and only a 2.5 engine. The MV6 always has a 3.0 or 3.2. Just mentioning it because you may not be aware. Lastly, MV6 wasn't made in 1996. Hope you don't mind, but I think someone may have mislead you at some point.

My response:
I would contact DVLA mate. Someone has sold you a lemon or the log book is not for that car. THAT is a Tourer, not an MV6. Trust me on this. I have a small amount of knowledge on these cars and have had 1 or 15 in the last year. Hope you don't mind me telling you, but you could end up with a problem is someone else finds out after they bought it. Good luck.
He has now ended and relisted, but what about that 'MV6' in the log book then?

Probably a listing error at registration. But also you can change the model description on the log book.
Oh and there was also a 2.6 MV6 (facelift) but there are very few of them about.
