Title: E-bay cr*p (again)
Post by: HolyCount on 13 May 2009, 22:02:28
Just read on an ebayers forum of their latest policy proposals ..... apparently if a buyer thinks ( claims ) he has bought counterfeit goods all he / she has to do is complain to eBay, who will ask for confirmation that said goods have been destroyed ( yeah right!). Once the buyer confirms the goods are desstroyed they will issue an immediate refund and charge back the seller.

Naturally no "buyer" will be making false claims will they ????????  ::) ::) ::)

At the moment we use ebay to drive customers to our website -- going to have to have a rethink I guess !!!!

We do about 50 / 50 between ebay and the website (and paid ebay £5k last year for the priviledge) ... strangely enough the only gripes and problems we get are from the ebayers  >:(

I sell the odd thing or two on e-bay and buy a few more things along the way.  I always seem to get aggro from the buyers who somehow have received faulty items when I have packed perfect stuff - but they don't want to send it back - and I often get sold sub-standard, mis-represented garbage sent to me.

One e-bay drop shop told me that e-bay was cheaper than a trip to the tip - I think a lot of people think like that!!

We are ... gradually (faster the better), but it's still a good way to get traffic to the main website.
