Title: Police escort from cashpoint machine
Post by: Nickbat on 13 May 2009, 13:34:03
I'm beginning to wonder if someone's losing their marbles... :o :o

Gordon Brown today urged police across England and Wales to offer to walk the last mile home with people who feel unsafe after they visit the cashpoint.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/may/12/gordon-brown-cashpoint-police

What do you reckon the response would be if you asked a policeman to walk a mile home with you, 'cos you just took out £20 and feel a bit scared?

 :o ;D

typical government, dont want to sort out the mugging problem but  are happy to nominate the already over stretched police force to waste their time on a "just in case" scenerio >:(

Proof, if ever proof were needed, that this country is in danger of going to hell in a handcart.  The mind boggles :D ;)

Shows just how out of touch he is,its rare in most places to see policemen on the street, and the senior management of the police now seem to have things "organised" in such a way that it takes at least 24 hours for them to respond to a burglary.
If this is the best he can do to try to repair the damage to his reputation then he is hopefully close to the point where he will soon be carted off to a home for the bewildered. ::)

I can see it now a policeman running past a mugging to get to the old lady that needs walking home with £20 in her purse. What a joke :( :( :(

If I were a crook, which of course I'm not, anyone who withdrew a wodge from the cash machine wouldn't get ten yards, never mind the last mile. ;D
