I've found Aldi pretty good, if you don't like the product, they'll offer a refund.

How do you intend to be finding the satellites once you get to your destination?

i have got a very similar one here not being used
it has a small satalite dish and a tv box plus all the cables
it does not have a sat finder but there is 1 built into the menu on the setup on the tv box

I've got a very similar one and it's great.
TV makes heavy demands on a leisure battery but I've just connected two 110ah ones in parallel to double the capacity at the same voltage, and I use a small 15w solar panel to trickle charge them when I'm away from the mains.
Have a read here.

sat finders are a waste of money
the only ones that are good are proper spectrum analyser ones or proper ones that can get the servoce id off the satellite but they cost loads
you can align to astra 28.2 / eurobird with a compass ;) try www.lyngsat.com
the compass method will require fine tuning easy though just use the signal stregnth off the box

I've just spoken to my mate who has one & he recommends one :y

Thanks for all the advice and offers. :y

An old trick for tunning for best results (with or without Sat Finder Signal) is once you have found your signal / picture is to pvc tape a Penny or five pence over the LNB and then you can really fine tune for best results whilst looking at the picture or Sat signal.
Tighten up, remove penny, job done perfect results in all weather. :y

what channels do you get, and do they work in mainland europe, do you get a UK signal in ie: Germany, France

Jim Try this full channel listings for Astra 28.2 Main GB satellite Sky & Freesat HD/SD Services)

Worth getting if you have a HDTV get a humax hdtv freesat reciever and you have HD tv!
freeview will be a good 3 years till HD broadcasts begin!
if you want to recieve these signals in Germany / France then you will need a 65cm dish to get a good reception in spain in some areas you can recieve astra 28.2 on a standard sky 45/65cm Mini Dish i wouldnt bother with the small sky minidish though the 65cm version may yield good results
set my uncles satellite system up for him and he lives in Reims using a 65cm sky dish & humax hdtv box the sky LNB is useless and a more meatier one is worth while i got my uncles system for £150 from shopping around
the aldi kits dish is too small for european use its even abit too small for uk sky in scotland use the 65cm dish and in some areas of wales & N.I & yorkshire

You need at least a twin LNB for this and it is £300 but worth every penny
-
yes it is dual wired to LNB forgot to mention that
the Sky Phillips Quad LNB is a very good LNB its used by most sky fitters for Sky + & multiroom instalations
-
if you want to watch tv while on holiday that desperately you'd be better off staying in a hotel :D
i'm used to a pack of cards in the tent and possibly some music off my phone ;)
