2000 (V) 2.5 CDX Auto (Estate)...shagged wishbone bushes.
I did think about replacing the bushes on their own, but it will be a darns site quicker to replace the arm complete.
Vx want £195 for ONE arm, Camberley's will do them for £43.....kinda obvious where I'll be buying them from.
Now I could probably do the job myself, but I spend 5 days a week contorting myself in to ridiculous positions and getting covered in crap.
So, if someone is interested in doing the job (or has any recommendations for someone near Farnborough, Hants), then I'm all ears.

i'm in walsall so that may be a bit far to go

Might not be that far, all depends on what you wanna charge I guess.
Do you want to give me a price on doing the whole job, including supplying the arms?
Or do you just want to give me a price on fitting with me supplying the hardware?

pm sent :y

The price Camberley have given you, is that + vat or including vat?
Paul :y

I'll say the same here as I did to someone else. I'm more than willing to do it BUT I can't give a date for at least 4 or 5 weeks :o :o :o due to other commitments :y :y :y

Both the Vx & CAF prices are ex VAT

After suspension work, and particularly if the car is pretty new to you, I'd recommend a full geometry check (not 4 wheel type alignment) afterwards.
The place I recommend for the geometry is http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk based in South Bucks. They may be able to fit wishbones for you - might be worth dropping him a PM here, or via his forum.

I was going to have it 4 wheel tracked afterwards anyway, it stands to reason the geometry will be shot once new parts are fitted (hell, the geometry is shot now with the worn bushes).

4 wheel tracking and similar are a bit of a waste of cash on the Omega, as it doesn't address the Omega's biggest geometry weakness - camber. Full geometry check is what you need, and that needs specialist equipment (and knowledge - GM's factory spec is unsuitable for older cars).
If you do use Wheels-InMotion, mention Omega Owners for a capped rate of (from memory) £60+VAT (for the geometry check and associated adjustments).
I would also recommend that you get some penetrating fluid on the front and rear track rods daily for a week before visiting...

I really, really don't want to sound like a miserable git - and mean nothing more than a friendly word of advice, but -
If you're going to charge someone to do suspension work - I would urge you to consider liability insurance :y
(By the way, I don't do suspension work - it really is just friendly advice :y )
-
I'm happy to do the work for you :y replacing anti links to? Best to. If you got the parts today i'll come fit them this evening no problem.

Bad choice of wording on my part, I should have said 4 wheel alignment (or 5 wheel if you include the steering wheel, because the company I have always used include it).

Really sorry but having to work next weekend, can't make it over to you :( Just not going to find the time... so is there any other forum member that can help out?
Sorry again!

4 (or 5 - thats marketing BS) alignment is kinda pointless. All it does is ensure the fronts are in line with the rears, without any checking to ensure the rears are pointing the right way. Also, it won't cure the Omega's inherent (with age) camber issues.
Just so we're not talking at cross purposes again, as I'm not in the mood for another argument, here is the definitions I use:
Tracking - Front Toe
4 wheel alignment/laser tracking - As above, but ensuring fronts in line with rear (which may or may not be straight)
Ful geometry - Thrust angle set to zero, rear toe and camber (if adjustable - rear camber not directly adjustable on Omega) set, front toe, camber, kpi (not directly adjustable on omega) set
Hope that clarifies what I'm saying.
