Well how does gggggggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Sound? What a day I have had. This has happened twice now today and last week.
I try and do the best I can and do what head office ask but unfortunately it's not good enough, today was the last straw. I now need a carrer change from what I am doing at the moment. I am considering going into the plumbing trade. Now I know there is a shortage of plumbers and the goverment needs at least 4,500 plumbers a year to bring up the numbers.
All i now need is to find out how much the courses are ( hopefully not to much). It has been a very, very bad day and I have had enough gggggrrrrrr

my day was about fallout from the weekend, we have a rule not to deploy any code to production after 12 on a Friday, i was doing it 7pm on Saturday ;D
It was however a quite profitable weekend :)

I know where you are coming from, and twice in my retail career, in two separate firms, I told my superior (politely) what they could do with the job! ;) ;) Never regretted it! 8-) 8-) 8-)! Always came off better! :y :y :y
So go for it Paul!! :y

A good day to be honest as i started my new role as Distribution Manager for a large automotive supplier....
-
change of career might not be too bad a thing. Is there a manager somewhere who is aware of the problems you have been having?
My day has been a mixed bag. Now got all the stuff including the cam locking tool to do by cambelt change starting tomorrow (Codename Project SMALL fear). Finished grouting a swimming pool today- fed up to the back teeth of that job in this heat. It is also the height of the pollen season and for the first time in my life I have hayfever. taking tablets but feel not quite with it. Got the Spanish builders back to fix two "small" problems under gaurantee. After a polite discussion they agreed to do the worst job free and not to do the other one as they feel it isn't their fault. I am just pleased they are doing any of it. I will watch what they do and learn the technique!

Just to be different - It's not a very good time to change. There might be a shortage of plumbers but the construction industry has most projects on hold for the time being.
I suggest you try to find a way to keep the present job while you plan your way out.
Unless you're rolling in dosh that is!
Hope tomorrow is better.

But of course, done a quick e-mail, half an hour later managed to get through to head of payroll, and should get paid by Thursday / Friday at latest, 2 days late, so not that bad...........thing is he told me when I sent the request to delete the April unpaid leave the start date was 31st December to 4th May, which would have meant I got paid 3 months wages ::) ;D ;D.....I said well did'nt my boss check the dates before he approved it :o :o...obviously not ;D ;D

Well just had someone round to talk to me aout the plumbing course with the skills centre. Had a nice chat with him, he went through the course syllabus and how many course's there are and then came the nitty gritty the cost.
Well I am glad I was sitting down, the total cost for all the course form domestic plumbing to central heating installations, boiler installs to building pipework was......................................
A staggering £6000 which gets you everything to become a fully qualified plumber. I was just thinking of doing the advanced plumbing course which enables me to go and do installs of bathroom suites to genral plumbing work and leak detection, which is all I want to do really.
