Title: Crikey !!

Just bought a new Crank sensor from my local dealer. Thought I would ask, for interest, how much to fit it........ £150 + the part !!  :o :o :o

Wow, that does sound pricey. I have allways had good service at Picador in Sholing Southampton. And Picador In Chandlers Ford are excellant. They have a place in Winchester aswell on the Winnal Trading estate, but I have not used them.

Do not go anywhere near Hartwells in Southampton, I will refrain from saying what I think of there lack of service on all fronts.

Following an MOT failure on a broken rear spring a few weeks ago my local dealer wanted £473 plus vat to change (pair)

I followed Marks DTM excellent post on doing the job :y, spent an enjoyable 3hrs on a Sunday morning and saved £403 odd by fitting the springs (KYB) myself. :y :y

If you think dealer prices are questionable over there, you would, without doubt, be very surprised at the stiff rates over here ;)

£150 for 10 minutes work,nice work if you can get it. :o >:(

You`ve got a point there, wonder if i can "earn-as-i-learn" and retrain to be a dentist?? ::) ::)
