Ignoring the fact that they are more dangerous than a Reliant Robin, why do you want a quad?

All I see in a quad is that you still sit in traffic (just as you do in a car), you get wet when it's raining (because you have no body), and they are inherently unstable when cornering.

For reliability,Honda take some beating, although all the Japanese makes should be pretty good. :y

70mph is more than fast enough on one of those things (yes, they will reach that with the right attention).

its for off road, mainly to exercise lurchers. I have only got little legs and cant keep up with them, need something to get them fit. Will also be for towing gang mowers and trailer. I live on a country park and surrounded by fields and have land owners permission to go where I want :y Will also use it in the winter with my labrador on pheasant shoot :y I know they can be dangerous but not at the speeds I go :D :D :D :D

My mates boy has the CBR600-RR....what a hell of a machine that is.

He's had it tweaked...it's 0-130 time is absof**kinglutely phenomenal...and it hits 160 no problem.

Handling....can't fault it...if anything, it is really forgiving as far as the novice is concerned.

Never been a "resin rocket" fan myself, but I could give serious consideration to something like the RR for sure.

Albs the Poopey Pants got done for only doing 35 mph on the Motorway, apparently he has listened to "This is the Road to Hell" to often.. i have been informed by a very good source that he is now listening to "Wind Beneath my Wings" and sings a few lines thinking of Loo-knee the Babe Magnet.. "Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?"

My mate had the SS50, I went down the Fizzy route as they were a lot easier to tune.
After blowing it up twice going down the mile, I discovered that the YB100 engine slotted straight in to the Fizzy frame. In fact the engines were so similar, you wouldn't know unless you looked at the cubic capacity that was stamped on the barrel that it was no longer 49cc.

Come 17, I bought a KH250 (the S1 model) and what an animal that was (when it actually fired on all 3 pots that is). Thinking back, it doesn't surprise me that a lot of folk were hurting themselves...I'm sure it was a combination of having started on 2 wheels very early, combined with a bit of sheer luck and a LOT of grace from God that I am still here today to be honest.
Anyway, that was ditched 10 days later in favour of a GSX750 ET and I've just kinda gone on from there really.

I used to know a KH250 owner (about 26-28 years ago), one trip it was running on 3 then near the destination dropped to 2, and on way back to 1, he stopped I stopped to see the problem and gave his pillion a lift.

I bombed off as fast as you can on a 100, then waiting at lights another one of our little group on a CG125 ran into me ;D

Even with a pillion my bike was pulling nearly 80 on the short DCs.

250 was the biggest you could legally ride when you turned 17 (at the time). Soon as I passed my test, I fooked the strokers off for the GSX.

Must admit the only GSX I have ever fancied was the GSXR1100 Slingshot. When I was an "Elsie Boy" that was my dreambike.. I went out on one which was 18mths old for sale in a bike shop £4200. It had been raining i gave it just a little twist (on an airstrip as I know you 20watt ;D don't like people speeding) the front wheel came up, at the same time the back wheel was spinning, I quickly changed gear and took this missile back to the shop where I went to the nearest loo to empty out my trouser legs  ;D

Would still have one today if I could drop on a mint one at the right money :y

You should read back through my posts again then, because I have no problem with people who exceed an arbitary figure. It's people who intentionally drive like tw*ts or people who drive under the influence that get my back up.
