Mine wasn't too bad when I removed the scuttle cover and the cable tray, and pulled the wires out of the way.

Well, I rang a bloke up because I couldn't be bothered to be honest he said 20 quid, he comes out and says ah its a 3.0 not a 2.5 which I told him on the phone, then he stood there and said to me ah dont think it's the rocker covers mate, but i'll do them for 35 quid. I said you quoted me 20 on the phone earlier he said yeah buts it's a 3.0 not a 2.5 so that makes the difference and I ain't got the tools with me to do that.

So I said to him 2.5 and 3.0 cam covers are the same (hope they are) and another thing why the f*ck did you come out to me with no tools, ah well I got the tools for a 2.5. I said to him do us all a favour and p*ss off could've had these done but instead I've been waiting for you.

Anyway then rang couple of other people up all wanting 60-80 quid so done the drivers side (passenger side in engine bay) myself this afternoon, didn't have no black jollop well I did but it was rock solid sent the mrs. out I said make sure you get the black stuff, comes back with blue, bloke said only difference is the colour, so I said to her this ain't black o the bloke said that'll do, so blue ultra stong crap is on there now. Will do the other side tomorrow nothing happening at work anyway. Not a great day to be honest. Done the breathers though!!
What a day!

2.5 is exactly the same as a 3.0 only the plenum may be a little bit heavier lol

best doing it D-I-Y mate youll learn alot about where all the various sensors live yeah the right hand is a spot harder but still diyable

theres a rogue mechanic round here that uses similar excuses ive heard allsorts of horror stories about him

All breathers are clear, breather 2 is a bit stiff still though. Sealent everywhere lol, started it up quickly all fine will leave it overnight though. Right hand side in the engine bay what a pain in the watsit.

Ran it for a good 30 mins today outside the back gate, will it a good grannying up the motorway tomorrow or monday  :D Seems ok will take a plug out on Monday after it's been used for a bit to make sure no oil is in there. The left gasket isn't really bothering me, its the right hand one that i'm worried about.
