Title: Re-Aldi Mini Digital Satellite System
Post by: Auto Addict on 23 May 2009, 09:01:27
Bought it, seems OK.

Haven't tried the dish out yet as I can't get a line to the satellite unless I mount it about 20' in the air ;D

I've still got the old Sky dish fixed to the side of the house, been up for over 20 years, hasn't been used for at least 10 years, plugged the box into the cable, and it downloaded over 150 channels, only Sky news international and BBC world news in English.

It's pointing somewhere about 19 deg east, to an old Astra satellite, but at least the box works.

Dish is too high on the outside wall for me to attempt to reposition. :(

Kit's good, seems well made.

Think you should get more than that AA, may be your old LNB in limiting the number of channels your getting.

Have a look here:

Astra 19 is old..... you should move it to point towards the 28.2 East services Eurobird & Astra

your old skydish LNB should have Auto V/H Switching as sky have been using it for years

I know where it should be pointing, it's too high up the wall for me to adjust :(
