...That I can drive 170 miles quite happily without a hint of trouble, no near misses, nothing untoward then decide when pulling into my drive to manoeuvre straight into the wall of the house? :'(

My Dad did a quick T-cut job on the wing which got rid of a lot before the photo was taken but I'm presuming there's not as much you can do for the plastic of the bumper?

ouch :( maybe ebay for a cheap second hand colour matched bumper :'(
-
Respray entire bumper is solution I think, but I certainly ain't no body expert...
-
Did that on my previous Omega... came back from a day's work in Suffolk and then rubbed the rear wing on the wall going into the drive... my excuse was that it was a long day and I was tired. No such problem anymore, I now live in a flat so the car is parked in the street and any passer-by can scratch it with a rusty nail.
Glad you got it off the wing, :y let me know how you get on with the bumper as I have a few similar scratches to remove myself. :(

I just wish more people were breaking facelifts!

I think I can get it all off the wing, just need to see it in the light. I also think there may be a dent but again need the light...

Hang on, yours looks like a good match, you don't really need a bumper do you?!!

I don't think you want any bit off mine, I don't have a single panel intact.... :'(
Well almost ;D

I think I heard somewhere that most accidents happen within 1/4 mile of home or reaching your destination, something to do with being relaxed.......
-
Bad luck mate. :'( I done exactly the same to mine when I was reversing into a tight space at a guest house in Cornwall and caught the opposite wall as I swung the front round. Rubbed it down with T-Cut which improved it a bit, but the only real answer is to respray it.

Does anyone know roughly how much a bumper respray would be? :(

Round here they charge around £60-£70 for metallic paint per 'small' panel (e.g. wing, door etc). This does not include any additional work, i.e. it is just the respary. But 'posh' garages charge more, up to £100 per panel... might be cheaper outside London though.

I need the following resprayed due to minor dents and scrachtes:
RH Front wing (minor dent - was like that when I got the car, plus vandals' scratches)
Bonnet (vandals' scratches)
RH rear wing (no dent, just 'white' marks from a metal pole in and underground car park)
LH rear door (dent from a 'pigmy' pole in a car park - they painted it bright orange now, thank you very much, it was black when I hit it...)
Front bumper (just the usual..)
Rear bumper (as above...)
So I decided not to bother... the car will get new ones anyway. Might as well wait and eventually give it a full re-spray :(

I cacked myself when reverse parking mine in a car park in Stirling. It was the space closest to the wall and there was limited space so I'd decanted the family and was getting the car as close to the wall as possible.
Next thing I hear is the screech of contact with the wall!! ::)
Fortunately, because my wheels are so wide, it was the tyrewall that contacted with the wall and not the bodywork!!! ;D
