There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?
-
Hmmm, quick guess 11186 legs
Unless the the question was how many legs on the bus then the answer is zero.
-
238 ?
no driver ? ;D
correcting :for 7 backpacks 10990 :-/
-

Hi Cem
It has got to be higher than that, as it says each girl has 7 backbacks, making 49 backpacks in total.

Are the cat containing backpacks necessarily on (or in) the bus?
-
its time for me to go back home.. :y
-
I'm just going to say 1, because thats what it was in Die Hard 3
-
Actually there are only 14 legs in the bus, nobody said the cats are in the bus :y
-
not a trick question, genuine maths
-
Do the bus shockers count as legs? ::)
-

-

Some interesting answers there....
the correct answer is on there! :y
-
I know for a fact that it's 10990 - received something about this by email sometime back with an excel file which needs the figure mentioned above for opening it :D
-
aye, thats the one 10990 :y
-
10990 :y
((7 x Little cats) + (1 x Big cat)) = Number of legs per Big cat = 32
((7 x Big cats) + (1 x Rucksack)) = Number of legs per Rucksack = 224
((7 x Rucksacks) + 1 x Girl)) = Number of legs per Girl = 1570
7 Girls on the bus = 10990
Am I right?
EDIT: D'oh! Jim beat me to it! ;D
