Title: AT LAST..............
Post by: MikeDundee on 28 May 2009, 07:17:48
.....Got a new TV yesterday, after much debating on which one to go for, following the demise of the plasma, I ended up getting this one, ex-display model £500 quid:

http://www.home-entertainment.toshiba.co.uk/en/Regza-LCD-TV/40-49-LCD-TV-screen-size/40-Regza-Stasia-Series/

And to mount it on, given I removed the built in unit at the weekend :-X

http://www.comet.co.uk/sh"My Naff Code Reader"et/product/486655/ALPHASON-TV-Stand-Up-to-42-inches

All that is left to do now is get some d-line trunking to hide all the friggin cables, there was one bolt missing from the stand >:(...so had to go back to comet and they got me one. Took almost 3 hours setting the lot up :-X

Good price on the telly, but the stand was way overpriced IMO.

Well I debated on several options whether to wall mount everything, if I had wall mounted everything it would have cost an extra £100 quid, so the stand and mount was the cheaper option :y

Anyway just had a search and found the same stand on another site for under a hundred quid :-X

Under the ton sounds right, I bought 2 glass stands (one for the telly that takes up to 50" sets, and another matching one for the AV kit) for £120 from Richer Sounds 3 months ago.

No - from my experience you can assume that the knobs exist throughout the whole of the UK >:( >:(
