And he bought it a Witney auctions!!!!

If it was an estate I would give it serious consideration.....
Just as a matter of interest, how well do the V6 engines last? 130k mileage might put me off....

Well maintained, and regular maintenence (not the book 20k oil changes!) and they do good mileage. I don't think they ever get scrapped due to engine hassles, unless the cambelt lets go...

Thanks for the reply TB - I'm just trying to pickup useful info before I commit to buying something later in the year - Unless something really nice came up sooner of course! ;) I wouldn't hold off purchasing if the right car came along - It would be a shame to miss it!

As TB says, properly serviced, the engines should last a long time. Mine is a high mileage unit, but as a well maintained ex police car, it runs very smooth.
Whichever way you look at it though, it's gone above the price I would pay with 134K on the clock.

Really? Even for a 2004 car? I thought it sounded pretty good - Apart from the fact that I'm after an estate not a saloon.

It doesn't actually have the same spec as a real MV6. I know, because mine is an ex-police MV6, and apart from the motor, it's really basic. Mind you, that 3.2 is a pleasure to drive ;)
I wish I could find the details of the dealer in Cardiff from whom I bought mine (TC Autos?), he had another 4 delivered the same day, and they were a damm sight cheaper than this one.

It has leather & Light Contrasting Luxurious Velour trim :-?

Apart from starting and stopping, you don't need to use the clutch, you can change gear, up and down, without using the clutch on most manual boxes.

Earplugs may be needed though... ;D

Seriously, if you get the revs right, you don't need to use the clutch.

I'll 3rd that its good fun too bit noisy when you try at first but you quickly get the hang of it
Also bought my v6 with 133,000 november last year and she' up to 144,000 now she's had 2 oil changes and cambelt and runs like a dream. Only noise is from tappetts if left standing for a few days on start up but dissapears within a second or 2, its a good lump
-
On the higher milers, very regular oil changes will do it the world of good. Get a TC card (join ABS, or blag one) and it costs around a tenner to do oil change....
-
It looks like the cd/radio lump is missing too, bet they're not cheap......

Actually they are cheap, as in cheap junk. That was the first thing I binned when I got my MV6, most factory head units are pretty crap (that includes BMW's "hi-fi" Harmon Kardon £1000 upgrade) so you're not missing much. A decent aftermarket unit will sound much better.
