while outside talking to steverubberduck loads of police came round
they told us that a woman had been ramed into the back of a corsa van she was screaming and asked if we had seen anything
ill keep my eyes on the news and around the streets

It seems to me Ally had a very strong reason for you to keep him informed, with a block capital "PLEASE".
Was he involved indirectly with this police action I wonder Nick, and he wants to break the connection with you for some reason. :o :o :o
Easy to speculate, but without getting to the truth. I don't think you upset him Nick, but maybe your story for some reason did. Unless he re-establishes contact you, or us, will never know the real facts! ::) ::) ::)
