Seen a few threads on here about Mario cart....
I think thats a Wii game...
So would that be the best to get....to join in with online gaming on here?
Been a while since i played with a games console....last was a PS2....and i gave that away years ago to my nephew who had his stolen in a burgarly.

I had an Xbox 360 mate, good quality games but my machine packed up twice in 5 months requiring sending off and payment in total of £105.
Cut my losses, sold it and got a PS3.
Havent looked back since.....they are brilliant.
:y

Son, has both 360 and PS3, later 360's are quite reliable actually, PS3 my son uses it more for the internet and films rather than a games console. Wii is very boring unless there is a lot of you.

The Wii can do sooo much more once you've had a brew ;)

got a PS3 myself. 80gb. Brilliant machine! :y :y

Thats a fair point, my son said get a 360 :y

360 is a hardware jobbie, Wii doesn't need a screwdriver ;)
-
got a 360 and a Wii here....
Wii is for partys / group games. Mario Kart is great on 4 player.
360 is for single player, cracking graphics, Wii has very poor graphics but excellent game play.
As mentioned later 360's with HDMI ports, which have updated heat sinks, are a lot more reliable.
Its also important to keep 360's out in the open a bit, not shut in a cabinet.

PS3 is brilliant
We have a Wiii as well which is OK
-
PS3 is good - but the online stuff seems less stable than XBoxLive - so if it's online gaming you're after - i'd go for 360
-
xbox defo
-
having owned all 3 i agree Wii for party games when your mates around, Ps3 good games on line play crap but cheap nlu ray player. overall my preference is the 360 on line play excellant good selection of games and also works fine as media centre for watching films.

TD asked what was best to join in here.
AFAIK, the only multiplayer game OOF plays is Mario kart Wii.
Which makes the decision really.
A few others have been mentioned, but don't think anything has actually happened.
He also says he hasnt played consoles for a while, and gave his last one away, so would suggest a bit of fun and playability is more important than the actual gaming 'experience'

XBOX 360 for me and a WII for the kids :y

You can play all your SNES games (and a whole lot more besides) on a Wii once you've read & digested sites like Wiibrew (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Main_Page) ;)
