I won't say what speed I did once on the M5 one Saturday afternoon.........lets just say I exceeded that figure! ;) ;)  Bloody stupid when I look back though as it was not the right time or place to do it, but it just happened when a BMW (yes  one of them!) decided to cut me up ::) ::) ::) ::)

Yep.would love another one,if it werent for the consumption, although having said that my 24 valver was as good on petrol as my 2.5 Omega, but I really need something more economical soon.
It would have to be a 24v with the digital dash and preferably in green.
The 24v was good for a genuine 150(or near as dammit)so they tell me. ::)

I was soooo tempted with Johnathan's  :-/ :-/, but it wouldn't have done the car any good sitting around outside for the few times I'd have used it.

Never had one, did have 4 Carlton Gsi's though. 1 12 valve and 3 24 valves. Loved those cars and would have one again if I could find one that was in really good condition.

Had 151 on the digital speedo in my 12 valve once.............not saying where i was though!  ::)

Where do you get your tyres for such track days, you get second hand ones cheap or something? can't be worth buying brand spankers?

get em free!!!!!!
remember you dont want tread on the tyres for trackdays, as tread squirms around a slides about, so you go to any trye place and ask nicely if you can have worn out quality makes or named brands fo tyres that you know wil be good on track, as they have to pay for disposal of them we almost always get them!! must admit tho we do keep a set of 2 new goodyear eagles on rims just in case its raining!!! fit them n the front obviously cos the back usually follows the front!! and you can always catch the back  when it lets go but you want the front to grip!!! ;D

You remember the good bits and not the bad.  My rear arches were going for the second time when I sold it.  Some of the box-sections weren't perfect either.

Only 85k miles when I sold it (1989 3.0 12v CD 14 years old).  Only really ever changed the pads.

Yeah but everything else, and the problems adds to the drama of the Senator  :D

I wish I hadn't had my head in my Omega's front wheel arches yesterday ...... there's more rot in the chassis legs than I thought .... or would like.  :'(
