Title: Mobile Deals
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 09 June 2009, 21:44:21
I now have trouble with the Orange network.  (PAYG)

Seems O2 works fine, and possibly Vodaphone could have good network coverage.

Anyone know if O2 will take on my orange number (Transfer) as PAYG or a cheap monthly deal if I have to.

Also will Orange allow me to trasfer to annother network?

TIA.   :y

Yes mate Orange will definately let you transfer to another network and take your number, they all do.

Any more info, let me know, my sister is manager at an Orange shop so knows the lot......!!

You have to call Customer Services and ask for the code for porting your number... Then give that to the new phone company. Easy really... Just about 3 hours on the phone to New Delhi or Mumbai ::) ::) ::)

Call your current service provider, ask them for a PAC code, then you have 30 days to move to your new chosen provider and still retain your number.

Have gone with O2.

£9.99 for the Sim, arrived the day after.

PAYG.  100 mins to land lines for free, or 300 free texts.  Calls are .19.6p min but I rarely need to make any.  No time constraignts on using the top up.  then just £9.79

Maybe not the best rates arround.  But as I only want it recieve calls then am completely set up for under £20

Kust found this, so if I can use it with the new card I get 150 mins as well.

You need to make a chargable call once every couple of months (might be longer)

3 is poor where I live, as it can *just* get a (poor) signal, thus doesn't revert to its backup 2G carrier.

Orange is no service, T-mobile is too bad to use, Vodafone works out in the road, or if I stand on the wall at bottom of garden. o2 is bang on here.

Shame I'm on voda ;D

Cheers Jamie, I will confirm with O2 the ins and outs of the deal before I change my number over. (especially after the sales crap I got from BT)  :y
