It's nice that they have an indigenous industry to fall back on, what are we left with in terms of a local concern to rescue Vauxhall? - or LDV?
-
should mean some hot saabs in the future!

BMW, Mercedes, VW....i also see that VW are about to buy Porsche as well!!

As tunnie said which can only mean good things :)

Not if they want to keep their present customer base.
Anyway, the aero is pretty hot already.

....and you assume that the largesse of the German government via Magna will filter its way over to Ellesmere Port?
Once more we have to depend on others because of the negative capability of our own manufacturing base.
That's why I omitted Opel from the proposition.
(It's also a bit naughty to alter my original post if I may say so)

Its was in the news a couple of years ago, wasnt it, that Porker were taking a large stake of VW Group?? Most people didnt care at the time, i suppose. But now the proverbial poop hits the propellers, sounds like theyre buying them outright??
Oh, and about Opel / Vauxhall being bought by Magna...has anyone thought what this will mean for future products derived from the VXR8?? Bear in mind thats a Holden rebadged, and there's been no mention that Holden is part of the Magna deal. Ergo- no forseeable replacement for the VXR8 :-(
And there'd have to be some 'discussion' with GM for any future Chevy-V8 engined models.
Many uncertanties in the future, methinks!
PS, look on the inside of your Omega B spare wheel covers gentlemen- mine has a sticker with 'Magna' written on it. Anyone else, or just me?
