Wouldn't trust the BBC as far as I could throw them.

Used to, though, implicitly, but they have gone downhill fast during the last decade or so, and are now hopelessly biased, IMHO.  >:(

bbc news has become the same trash tv as gmtv.  bbc is too reliant on the government to be impartial

Nickbat and the Mail for me. ;) :D
BBC was taken over by the loony left quite some time ago, baffles me why some people still think its the same trustworthy British institution it was years ago.
It has been the mouthpiece of new labour and all things lefty/green for years now, same gravy train mindset as the politicians. >:( >:(

What says it about the BBC and the Labour government is even if the LG is correct and BBC wrong - people still think BBC is more likely to be right.

None of the above.
Anybody with any sort of control automatically gets less trust than the common/garden slug I occasionally come across.

That's because people (in general) are as thick as s*it and believe whatever they hear if it is even halfway plausaible....why do you think the country is so f*cked up?

An interesting read for those who value the BBC so highly, as well as for those following events in Iran. How true are these reports, I wonder?  :-/

Martin, I've given up on the dead-tree press and the TV...and practically all MPs.

Most of my info comes from the blogosphere where there is no money to be made, or careers to be forged. Additionally, on the busier sites, posters can rarely get away with lies as they get shot down easily by their peers.

So that's why I trust blogs these days above all the nominations in your polls.

which is why i voted for you Nick as i haven't the time to search the web for stories to make me shake my head and my blood boil ;)

You didn't have an option for foreign news sources!

A lot of what you see on TV and in the UK press is prepared soley for the English speaking world.
