Yes, it is.

Its just taller to hold more gas.

imho, this makes the single burner stove even more unstable, but should be fine for lanterns.

PM sent about sourcing c270.

I thought I'd been shafted when charged a fiver for a 470.

My portable grill has now been converted to run on a 15Kg calor gas bottle so Camping Gaz can keep their overpriced gas.  ;)

It is overpriced, esp compared to Camping Gaz's larger bottles, but guess disposable ones always are :(

Difficult to convert a lantern to run from anything else

True, and a lantern will get through very little. Still seems steep for a 270 though. Maybe they have gone up since I last needed one.

They have shot up, as Euro has. Argos £14 for 4 c270 is best I found last time

That price isnt too bad.....my light/heater/cooking burner all use that type of gas bottle....

However worth keeping an eye out on what Buyology are selling, if youve got one near you (they sell bankrupt stock), couple of months back, picked up 8 bottles of the gas for £8  :y :y
