MID reprogram is only really necessary for those who have swapped MIDs (early ones fail frequently), and the donor MID came off a different spec car.
Climate reprogram, 2 reasons to do, again if its been swapped if needs to be configured (saloon and estate). Other reason is very early ones run some pretty duff code - the ones where the fan speed only goes to 5
Autobox upgrade - there is a recent poll started by me about this. Basically, it makes the gearbox work smoother and better.

I can confirm the gearbox update makes a considerable difference.
The Omega gearbox is smooth anyway, this makes it even better. Once warm in town driving you do not notice it changing gear. They only way you can tell is to watch the rev gauge and watch it change, its that smooth!

Does anyone know when the gearbox update happened? I.E. what age range of cars are likely to benefit?
Cheers,
Kevin

Not entirely sure, but it certainly looks like after production stopped...

Yet to do one that hasn't resulted in a very noticable improvement...
