Title: I'm about to buy a new....
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 16 July 2009, 21:09:17
domain name....

Question is....is a dotcom or a dotcodotuk more popular??

I have a few .co.uk domainnames.....but thinking this new one should be .com  :-/

Undecided  :-/

for .com, register it in the good ol' US of A as its cheaper.  UK price is normally around £9 (give or take), as opposed to $9 in US.

co.uk still cheaper though

Both for 2 years....

Plus £5 for each email forwarding....

co.uk too expensive for pure registration. Should be around £5.50 - £6 + VAT

Not many do now (without paying extra (or paying a lot for the hosting))

One site i do.....but it costs iirc approx £25 yearly for hosting costs and an email account.......and thats a low bandwith setup.

This site i plan to use my isp's webspace and email account (again it will be low bandwith) so just need to redirect to it  :y
