Title: Laptop screen repair
Post by: redelitev6 on 18 July 2009, 13:47:21
 >:( My daughter has "managed" to crack the screen on her nearly new laptop(e-machines e-520) has anyone any idea if a repair is possible and cost effective,or do i have to bite the bullet and get a new one?. I have tried the home insurance route but it is more trouble than it is worth ( excess,no claims etc)

Try searching on ebay or making computer store enq, I bought one off ebay and fitted to a Compaq myself, about £80 it was and not that difficult to fit, just neeed the right tools to undo the case screws which usually sit under rubber caps, they did on mine.

No actually Ian's right.  In railway speak it is always UP to London, DOWN away from London, so as York is South of Geodie land, it would be UP to York ;) ;) ;)
