Title: Don't be ill..........

I think this is one of the most disgraceful things I have heard in a while. I already think it is a disgrace that we have to pay to see an NHS dentist when we are forced to pay for the NHS out of our salary, but now there is talk of us paying to see a GP too???  >:( >:( >:(

Agreed it is wrong, but we can expect more of this kinf of idea in the next 5 years. It is all the fallout from this recession. Of course we will all be blaming the next tory government for it as it is introduced over the next 5 years, but try in the future to remember who caused it all, bankers and labour.

I dare say this charge will only apply to England if it is brought in.. after all its England that has had to pick up the bill from the Welsh getting free prescriptions!  >:(

Start this and they may as well abandon the nhs

Im sure this is aimed to stop certain timewasters, but everyone will have to pay.

so £20 for the doc, then £7 for a prescription, cant see em including it  >:(

(altough being in wales I currently get free prescriptions  :D)

This is symptomatic of the way things are dealt with, we don't want to single people out and call them timewasters so we will punish everyone.

My partner has an extremely rare connective tissue disorder and has to visit the GP regularly (probably on average 3 times per month) thats £60 per month before we have even got her many prescriptions, which, living in England we still have to pay for!!  >:( >:( >:(

I think that they would introduce exceptions, e.g. scottie's partner, unwaged and so on. It will be another tax in a different guise foryour average Joe Public.

Thing is you already pay to see dentist for example.

This is only an idea from one of many useless think tanks. The government have already dismissed it. However, we'll have to start coughing up sooner or later. Health provision is a big worry all over the world.

Think tanks. I'm yet to read a report that makes me think positively of them. Or are they just described differently when they have good ideas?
