SWMBO recorded this earlier this evening. Tonight's programme was all about motorbike accidents in Cumbria's & North Yorkshire's rural roads covered by a helicopter air ambulance. A good excuse for a bit of emotional blackmail to 'encourage' me to get rid of my bike I think.
One middle aged woman put her bike into a wall where you used her right leg to stop her bike, needless to say she smashed her leg ... in about 5 places! :o :o

I saw it and must say I was amazed at how graphic it was. When they showed that woman's leg facing in the wrong direction, well it was one of those scphincter tightening moments that made me look away.
Then there was that bloke who used his hand as a brake along the road. Did they really have to show the bandage being lifted along with most of his skin!!!!
Good programme and a real eye opener!!

Deffo a bit of finger wagging in this programme, all these naughty bikers ,felt sorry for the girl biker knocked off her bike by the dozy sod who walked into the road without looking,at least he had his teeth knocked out -that'll make him look next time!!

Sorry to say one of my colleagues has had a ride on that air ambulance, with bits of leg sticking out after a bike accident :-[

How long before Tv. goes as far as Brunstrom and shows headless bikers in a (crass) attempt to shock people into safety. ::)
Tv shows reflect our society (I`m afraid): "we" have lost our sense of propiety and sensitivity.........the camera`s probing and intrusive lens, represents the gawking-ghoul in many.
IMHO it`s perfectly possible to 'educate and inform' without pandying to the "Oooh look at dat; it`s gross" generation.
