she spent last night in the spare room because of my snoring. so,anyone got a solution for me before she puts a pillow over my head!? :o
another thing......why is it that the least little noise during the night wakes me up,and yet my snoring,which according to swmbo can get quite loud,doesnt?

Try the strips you stick across the nose - I think they're called "Breathe Right", supposed to be quite good although never tried them personally. There's also a number of so called cures available from pharmacy's but don't know how good they are.

I apparently snore for England :o but have tried the different things like nose pegs etc they end up on the floor in the morning ;D
I am going to go the Doctors as Mrs. Loo-knee recorded me with her phone and could not believe the noise I was making :-[ rather embarressed me :o so I will let you know how I get on at the doctors ;)

both my wife and I sleep like a turbine ;D ;D
we grow up as single kids and dont like to share a bed with someone :o ;D
so we both sleep in double beds seperate :o ;D ;D ;D
meaning seperate rooms ;D

i must say after having to share a room with a mate when working away a few yrs ago i can sympathise with your wife. it must be the worse nights sleep i have ever had. i was on the point of cracking up, it was horrendous, i wanted to suffocate him. in the end i paid an extra 5 a night to get away from him.

I really pity my sister. A few years ago my brother in law who's a large chap (6'4" and around 18 stone) came away to Majorca with us for my brothers stag week and shared a large room with me and a couple of mates. I can honestly say I've never heard anyone snore so loud ALL night - talk about shaking the walls!!
It was so bad that one of the guys ended up sleeping on the balcony and another night one of the other guys slept in the bath to get away from the racket. ;D
I found the best solution of all was to get completely hammered each night - didn't hear a thing then! ::) ;D ;D

This is called Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Daz. I know because I have it. You stop breathing (or your breathing is heavily restricted) for 10 seconds or more. You have to do a sleep study and they measeure how many times it happens every hour.
Anything more than 30 times per hour is considered dangerous. My result was 112 (that means I stop breathing for 10 seconds or more almost twice every minute when I am asleep)! :o :o :o
I am now on a treatment called CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) which means I have to wear a mask when asleep and a constant stream of air is sent up my nose keeping my airways open. :y
I have to say that this treatment is superb and if you are offered the opportunity to try it, jump at it. :y
BTW I don't snore anymore either! ;D ;D

I dont know a cure but I did think I was seriously ill as I kept finding bald patches downstairs, eventually mentioned my concerns to the missus who confessed to ripping some out as it was the only way to rouse me and stop me snoring for a bit :o

I was at the Doctor last week about my snoring - SWMBO had threatened to smash my forehead with the pointy end of her iron unless I did something about it. Ive tried nasal strips and most other things and nothing works.
Anyway the Doc tells me there is a new bit of kit that you fit in your mouth at night which positions your bottom jaw slightly forward than your upper jaw that stops you snoring - try it - put your bottom teeth in front of your top teeth and try to snore - bet you cant. :y
Problem is, Doctors cant prescribe them, only dentists :-/. Tough - SWMBO will have to put up with it!
By the way - if I'm ever found in a bin liner in the Clyde with a hole in my head that you can fit a steam iron in.... ;D

I was at the Doctor last week about my snoring - SWMBO had threatened to smash my forehead with the pointy end of her iron unless I did something about it. Ive tried nasal strips and most other things and nothing works.
My doc said the same , he uses one himsepf , just looks like 2 gumsheilds attatched with a piviting plasti restrainer. It moves your bottom of teeth , and jaw out about 1/2 inch , his wife said it cured him overnight . you will need to see your dentist who takes impressions of your teeth , 3 weeks later you go back to have a first fitting ,, mt mate said it takes a bit of getting used to and you sound like hanabel lector when its in but has 100% cured him , I think they are about £180, expensive but at least the partners get a good nights sleep as well

My snoring got so bad, my missus video'd it on her phone as I didn't believe her :-/
After she played it to everybody I got her back by saving it as her ring-tone ;D
