Not long; million years or so! I don't think it is going to worry me though;D ;D ;D ;)

Getting rid of the current Government is more of a priority. 8-) 8-) 8-) ;)

.......there's a blast from the past :o - last experience with that wonderful airline was a landing at Stanstead so hard I thought the gear had been driven up through the wings - horrible.

Oh for the days of BOAC and BEA - the VC10 and the Vanguard, happy indeed 8-) :y

Ah! how about BEAs' Trident?
When did they last fly?
Or the BAC11 - Dan-Air operated them too

I don't know when they last flew, but I remember BEA replacing the Vanguards on their Maltese route with Tridents in 1963! 8-) 8-) 8-)

The turbo-prop Vanguards were lovely planes, but there was real excitement when the jet Tridents started! :D :D ;)

As for the RAF Transport Command Comet 4B's, I first flew in one of those in September 1964 and as a kid found them a great aircraft.  The take off especially I will never forget, as in true RAF tradition we sat facing the tail and watched the land disappear behind us as the pilot took us into a steep climb 'like a rocket'  :-* :-* :-* :-*8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I flew to Malta in 1962 in a DC6 as well PF! It was a British Eagle Airlines plane, just like this one:

They were certainly lovely aircraft from what I remember of our flight, and it was the only time, more the pity, that I flew in a prop driven commercial airliner :'( :'( ;)

So no flights in a Viscount, an Islander or Trilander, HS146, Dart Herald, Jetstream or those Brazilian things that Fly-Be now use?

No, I'm afraid I never have PF, apart from ones like a Super Constalation, Vanguard's, DC3's and  Viscount's on the ground only though!!  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Just big jets and a private Piper single engined prop plane 8-) 8-) ;)
