Title: Bog paper tax
Post by: Nickbat on 23 July 2009, 11:37:54
Wait until Gordon Brown learns about this wheeze..

In the US, a toilet paper tax of 3% is proposed in Rep. Earl Blumenauer’s “Water Resources Protection Act”. Also taxed will be toothpaste, water-based beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

The problem is that when they introduce such a tax over here, it could spell the end of the time-honoured tradition of shaking hands when you meet people.  ::) :D ;)

.........could start an entirely new trend, 'air shakes' - rather like those 'air kisses' one sees the precious ones' indulge in when they don't wish to touch flesh.

Is this a suitable circumstance for the term 'air-headed' I wonder?

There will certainly be a great deal of smelly people going around what with this extra tax and the ones they want to impose for waste disposal!

Mind you women have to pay tax for feminine hygiene products, like sanitary towels  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
