You would think that given the amount of folks that travle during school holidays, flights/holidays would be cheaper. I have just ben checking out flights for later in the year, mainly August, and at Christmas to fly back out to Thailand, prices fo August for 2 adults and 2 children £2,206.00, for December £2,718.00. Then you check out September or october etc., and the price is £1,644.00. Easy to guess when i will be going back out :y,

yup, prices increase due to demand....

I always knew they were expensive at term time, but now add to that the extra £40 x 4 green tax for long haul flights, total b*ll**ks >:(

Supply and demand price structuring. As with any commodity, the higher the demand the higher the price - just good old capitalism at work. ;)

Funny that, we just had a letter form the school saying that any child absent on the last day before the holiday or the first day back will loose it's place in the school... I wonder why...

I request permission, this time it will be 1 week before end of term at easter and 1 week after start of end of term, I have done it twice already. The headmaster did say that she would not necessarily approve each term or more than 1 in each term. I fine up to a £100 (watford), rather pay the fine than the extortionate capitalist costs.
