Without going into too much detail.........
3 1/2 weeks ago I had one of my cars siezed by the police :(
Suffice to say it was involved in a crime >:(
Broocie has been magnificent in advice, putting up with my constant PM's and even a phone call :y
He has helped me get through a very stressful period and even drafted me a letter to send to get my car back. :y
This morning i received notification that i could collect my car from a recovery company.....when i turned up....they wanted over £300 for recovery costs......if it wasnt for Broocie's advice (yes yet another PM to Hotel21) i would have probably paid up ...... but it paid off and im collecting the car in the morning FOC.
Without his help i would still be a car down.....and probably no idea when i would be getting it back.
So thankyou big time again Broocie its been much appreciated :y .....and i can smile again now :)
I suspect he's relieved that im going to leave him in peace now ;D

Thanks for that TD. Appreciated. Just glad its going to be finally resolved.
I would also make a point of checking the car out FULLY to ensure there is no new damage which could have been caused by the recovery company as opposed to your 'driver'.
Check it out, decide, then sign the papers....
Illegitimi non carborundum.....
;D

Not sure wot the last bit means......Summat about having an illegal carburator i think ;D
I did check out body work.....after a 20 min wait at recovery garage....and no damage that i could see....
Altho its got sticky labels over the bodywork.....presumably where photos where taken :-/
Blokey that brought the car to reception for me.....said we had trouble starting it....its very low on petrol so advise you take it to nearest garage.
The gauge was on its end stop with light flashing....so ok they are right....but thought i'll switch it to gas...as there might be lpg in it.....ummmm wrong it coughed and spluttered as soon as i did this....so swicthed it back to petrol again.....got to garage....chucked a tenner of petrol in it.....and guess.....it wouldnt start.....battery flat as pancake :( ... battery was that flat it wouldnt even close the leccy window id opened....and it was raining >:(..i ended up walking to asda's (nearest place and only a few mins away) and buying jump leads.....then phoning every driver i knew to see if they were in the area.....got one....and 15 mins later i was away again.
Anyway at least ive got it home now :).....battery is on charge.....tho i think it might be fubared now after being flattened that much :-/

Glad you got it back TD.
Guessing the labels are similar to white squares of paper with green/red arrows printed on them? If so, they point to and indicate where samples (DNA/Fingerprint lifts) were taken from.
Flat battery could be anything, obviously, but would hazard a guess at doors being left open when exam was done and this has gubbed the battery.
Fuel? Could be anything. Probably the 'driver' being a tight git and not fuelling it.
As said, dont let the B*astards Grind You Down. ;)

Cheers B :y
Yes white labels have red arrows on them about 1/2 doz of them.
Battery has probably drained coz of not being started in 3 1/2 weeks (alarm/etc).....it had gone that flat that even the radio was asking for the code (which i do have).....also after 10-15mins running when i switched it off to get fuel....it couldnt even power an electric window...so shows how flat it had gone....as i said it maybe fubared now.....i shall see....its still on charge.
And yes low on fuel was probably tight ex driver.
Thanks again Broocie :y
