Title: BT's Bill

I've just read my BT bill on line, my rental charges have more than doubled >:( >:( >:( >:( from £10.86 to £23.75 >:( >:( >:( >:( I'm currently on hold waiting for them to answer.
Have you checked yours?

Yes and I was on the phone to them within 20 seconds after I saw how much they took out of my bank this month.

I got conned into a 12 month contracy and a connection fee of £122.50 but and 18 month contract for phone gire that I had been told was a sale offer split over 18 months.

Cutting the story down, I complained and found out if I had taken an 18 month contracy on the line they wave the connection fee.  I TOLD them the 18 months had never been offered.  But they have still billed me for it. >:(

Seems to the name of the game for most things  now Pete - increase price by way of stealth :(

It's a free phone #. They've expained & all's good, but as i siad to the nice young lady "it would've been nice to have been pre-informed".
Apparently nothings changed, just adjustments to billing dates & so hence an increase. She said all will adjusted in time & i won't be paying any extra :)

So why are they adjusting billing dates, all extra work for them that they dont like.

And that is the price you paid for having a deregulated telecoms market. As fast as Ofcom crippled BT their marketing guys dreamt up new ways of tying in customers. They have been doing it for years.

Try living somehwere where there is no real competition and the prices are high as a result.

I left BT many years ago because of their high prices.  I still get regular letters from them with offers enticing me back.  Would consider it if their "special", "time limited" offers came anywhere near to matching my current provider.

The previous person that owned my place changed all BT, Gas and Electric to other suppliers.  hence BT tried the connection charge con on me.  but have option 2 if they get caught out. >:(

I've got line rental with them and thats increased from £36 a quarter to £60 a quarter. Looks like i'm off to Sky.

So how do they justify annother £12 per month.  :-/
