Title: Forum Rules - Ebay Links

Posting in For Sale sections

Absolutely no links to your Ebay auctions, or Ebay auction numbers.

No posting for sale items in the 'wrong' areas to get around the postcount limits.

Currently, need to be a Junior Member (over 50 posts) to advertise your car, and an Intermediate Member (over 250 posts) to advertise parts.

If you are a buyer, please ensure you are happy and confident with the seller before parting with money.

I have been on the forum for quite a while and have allways felt too "Daft or Awkward" in broaching this subjest.

On a personal note I can understand that links to Ebay for our own items is a nono as it goes agaist promoting the forum.

But then the highlighted bit, Or ebay numbers, does that mean just for our own items or items in general.

Also we often see posts for items for sale, bargain cars, over priced cars or just daft things on offer on the bay.  Should we  or are we allowed to post regards items that are not ours.

Plus with so many new members on board I feel it doeasnt hurt to be having a thread regards the selling of items on Ebay, and the reasons regards the post count requirements for newbies and the readons why it was implemeted.

I think we should - providing we have no self-interest in the item.

Such links are an easy reference to items which provide endless topics for general discussion for forum members and as such, can only be a good thing :y

Agreed - and generally the admins leave these type of links alone.

Nothing more to add.  We are wise old farts, and can normally tell if someone is trying to pull a fast one
