The last Tommy, Harry Patch, is to have his send off today, first and official ceremony at Wells Cathedral, then at a private ceremony after.
Harry Patch, the last witness for us of the Great War slaughter.
Good bye Harry, and goodbye all brave soldiers who died for us, go into history and may we and all future generations never forget that, or any other, futile war.

This great song will apparently be sung by the Wells Cathedral choir to reflect Harry's anti-war stance.

If we had not had such brave men and women , such as Harry Patch , we would not have the country we have today . My greatest respect to everyone of them that fought for UK . R.I.P. Mr Patch , :'(
