Hi all just got back from having the car chipped by a contact I can give to anyone . He works for a proffesional company and does have some time spare which he devots to helping people like ourselves. All his work has 24 month gaurentee on it , I had my brand new Crafter remapped last year , and that was awsomely change the performance , as I often have a trailer on and when I have a payload of 2.7 tonne on , thats my max total for van and trailer , she was struggling a bit . So I phoned my man and he asked me what I wanted , AI said I dont want anymore top end but need some serious torque help when pulling away or steep hills, he wrote the program for my needs and it is spot on , and increased my MPG by 4 miles per gallon as I am not having to floor the van to make it work as it now has so much time you can drive it with a feather on your right foot. Anyway , drove the Mig home tonight , simply amazing difference , added 15 BHP but the mid range torque he has programmed in is fenominal. If anyone would like his number please pm and I will give his details in private. Top bloke really knows his stuff . You will not regret it ;D
Take care

Had my DTi remapped last year & i noticed a good difference. But the biggest difference was when i removed the cat. Wow amazing how all that restriction just chokes them up. I also gained 6 mile to the gallon urban driving, i now get well over 40mpg 8-) 8-) 8-) :y :y

Unless of course you were to fabricate your cats, then fabricate a straight through pipe, then change between the two for MOT's ::)

A chipped 2.5 won't generate a huge amount more torque as that's a function of engine capacity, so the AR25 should be safe IMHO.
