Peace is shattered. The bad penny (cent ??) has returned... :)
Not many photo's of the car, but some of where we went to put up later.
stats :
miles travelled 958.8 of which approx 380 were towing
estimated petrol use from the MID 42.61 gals @ 22.5 mpg
average cost of petrol £4.92 a gallon
estimated petrol cost £209.70p
Actual gas useage 242.4 litres = 53.96 galls @ 17.96 mpg
average cost of gas 51.572 p/ltr = £2.34 a gallon
Actual cost of gas £124.96
Saving £84.74 in the two weeks ( at 1.15 euros to the pound) - about 40% :)
Problems - 1 minor - code 0420 removed using the resetter in less than 2 minutes. ( question about that going up in technical shortly )
beer drunk - too much
wine drunk - far too much
cheese consumed - far far too much
weight increase - classified information
Now the important question..... :)
What have I missed, whats been going on ?? there are REAMS of posts in just 2 weeks .. I'll never catch up with that lot ... so a quick resume would be really really nice !!!!
(alright ..... call me a lazy git, but I'm still in "holiday mode" )
:)

You obviously had a good time Nige in the land of le frog :y
I love it over there, luckily the Sister in Law has just bought a place in Aquitaine so i'm hoping to get over there soon. I want to take the MX5 over but the wife is on about flying :( I might suggest I meet her there ::)

I always used to go to the South every year. Driving is far more fun than flying, and nothing in it cost wise, bearing in mind you have to hire a car there. You'd probably be quids-in as your car is going to be more economical than my MV6 ;D

I've had a stainless steel 4/2/1 manifold, decat and exhaust system, since then its been running a bit rich, might be worth replacing the Lambda sensor :(

Funny you should say that. MOT emissions were a bit marginal this year too. Suspect the Lambda's getting a little tired as it was lean on the fast idle test.
Exhaust is getting a bit tired too. Now, about this stainless system... 8-)

When we went to French France with the caravan we did a similar overall milage but IIRC I used 78 galls!!! :'( :'( :'(
I forgot to note the MID info before I disconnected the battery! :(

Its the MX5parts one, if you get their emails they have offers every now and again, I got the dual exit exhaust for £150 but its a bit noisy ::)
