I installed new headlamps over the weekend. As far as I understand (through this forum and reading up on the net), you should have your beams adjusted. So I found a guide and had a go and thought I over did it, in terms of lowering the beam.
Now, being the xenon type, I thought it would be best for the dealer to adjust the beam. So took the car down to the dealer- first question, whats wrong with the lights? So I explained and he agreed to have a look. Came back half an hour later without adjusting anything and explained to me that the setting was well within the legal limit and I would pass the test.
I tried explaining to them- that not the point. The beam should be set to the optimum point where you get the best light and don't blind anyone.
But despite all that I'm glad that my setting was responsibly done in the first place.
I just can't understand this don't fix it until its broke mentality - they just don't believe in preventative maintenance around here.

I've spent a fortune just for preventive maintenance for miggy ..and another reason is I like the cars performance and all parts like at its first day (but cant buy new >:()

I think the dealers here take the attitude that if they don't touch it they're less likely to make a Horlicks of it. ;D
