Title: Ronnie project 2007/1 SOLD for £2100
Post by: Ronald_McBurger on 26 February 2007, 20:07:38
Is what I should be saying in a couple of weeks time.

OK, update time. Well, nothing much happened since we broke down on the M2. But, it does still drive (just) and is now on my driveway. Gearbox coming off donor car tomorrow and I will collect on Saturday ready for me and Laidback on Sunday.

Plan? Me and Dave (thanks mate) are planning to swap the boxes and gearbox ECU's over on Sunday in 2 hours. That is the goal. I think we may have a good chance. Then, a test thrash before selling it immediately and counting the pennies.

There. :y

Does this task involve lying on a trolley or on your back?

Max, your car was not fixed so thanks are not in order to my mind.  :(

As for lying under the car when removing an autobox....? Erm no thanks!!  :o

I think 2 hours is hopeful but we should do it in under 3. :)

)

serious effort was expended by all concerned Dave , your good self included...

that DESERVES respect and thanks irrespective of the outcome.

it's hardly your fault i didn't have a spare Hand-brake cable to hand.... Nor is it Mark's fault that there turned out to be so many damn leaks ...  NOW , we're hopefully down to one, which James is hoping to cure this coming weekend, and I now know that new rear shocks are in order for the MOT in march, as well as the Hand-brake cable.

So I can plan accordingly....

it also seems someone sneaked in a fix to a check strap i wasn't even aware of...  and the HID error is no longer flashing up every time I drive the car...  (although the lights are still low... )

So take yer thanks like a man Dave...   :y  they are both well earned and well meant.

 ;D :D :) 8-) 8-) 8-) :y

Best regards
\

Here here. A man of great integrity, super human effort, very calm under most conditions, impressive knowledge of cars, pcs, phones you name it. And a damned good looking bloke too. Anyway, enough about me again. Dave is alright I suppose! :)
