Thanks for asking  :y

Today is D Day.

They have offered me the job, but i want more money, the agency is willing to fight for the dailey rate i want, but only if i confirm i will accpet it when they get it.

They don't want to fight for the rate i want and then for me to possibly turn around and say nahh.

I spoke to the Europe Director of the company yesterday, told her i have a new job offer, and what is on the table for me.

She plans to get back to me today on it, i have to give an answer for the new job today.

Got further news on the new job, the person above me is planning to moving to another department, and the lady that interviewed me asked if i wanted his role  :o so contract for 6 months then perm.

Sounds good to me!

I am on the verge of accepting, unless my current place comes back with an improvment on their earlier offer, i am leaving!  :D

Beware of promises they have no intention or ability to fulfil. You know the place, so can assess whether what they promise is likely to happen.

Unless your motive is simply to secure a pay rise where you are, of course.... ;)

Hope whatever decision you make turns out to the be right one. :y

Thanks!

Turns out its a very small world, i went for some drinks after work, and one of the people i used to work with, went to Uni with the lady that interviewed me and is good friends with her!

So i got all the info on whats it like at the new place, which has aided me in my decision.

I am all set to go really, there is nothing to keep me here, unless i guess a blinding offer which is very unlikey.

Yeah, good luck chap!

It's good that you are in the position to haggle between two positions and get what you are wanting.
