:o :o :o :o :o
I like both wheels/tyres of my bike to be in permanent contact with the road underneath me. Just read the TT lap times, fastest is Superstock TT 2007 Bruce Anstey 1000 Suzuki 17m 37.85s 128.400mph I think I'd be happy with under an hour! :y :y :y
-
The outright record is now just under 132mph iirc. :y

I was quoting ........ http://www.iomtt.com/TT-Database/Lap-Records.aspx ;)
While I've seen that kind of speed on 4 wheels, I'm not sure I'd want to on 2 ..... which is just aswell cos my bike isn't that fast! :y :y

Another, but not quite as slo-mo ;)

Another of Joey's old haunts (Pun certainly not intended...though I bet he's still around on race day :y)

I think the sites stats are from pre 2009.Mcguiness set a new record this year (iirc)
It isnt the fastest road course in the world though. That honour goes to the Ulster Grand Prix circuit at Dundrod, held on roads on the outskirts of Belfast.
If I had the money and the talent when I was younger,I would have loved to have had a go at the road circuits.Used to spectate at the Irish ones before I migrated.

Great minds Turk...... ;D

He was a fascinating character as well as a great racer,Im currently reading a biography for the 2nd time, and it is a brilliant read.
I remember My mum trying to get me to go back over for his funeral.I really wanted to but was very busy with work etc at the time so I didnt go.My Dad taped it for me (it was shown live on UTV) and sent it over for me to watch. It was unbelievably moving.
Not going will be one of the things I regret untill my dying day, because not only did I not get to pay my respects to a true hero but I had to go over a few weeks later to bury my Mum who died suddenly. If I had went to Joeys funeral I would have got to see her one last time. :'(

Like so much 'in action' it is somehow greatly enhanced when slowed right down on film. The detail of all the moving parts is fantastic! :y :y :y :y
