I am after a cheap laptop, really just planning ahead to getting a cheapo Tech2, and also being able to run a parts list which doesn't like windows 2000 or Xp.  Nothing fancy or up to date.  Keep looking on fleabay but even the cheapest ones are going for £100 inc post.  Anybody recomend anything?
Must have a serial port though, and possibly a USB 1 port would be nice if it doesn't already have a cd reader built in.

				dont go too old!
I cant run my cheapo tech2 on my old laptop (old pentium mmx)
runs fine on a more powerful one.

Out of interest, what appear to be the minimum CPU requirements for a Cheapo Tech2?

Admittedly using a USB to serial adapter, my 2.4Ghz P4 Tosh struggled.....

If you have a suitable PC, an extension cable could be a cheaper alternative.  Think I paid £10 for a 10m one on Ebay.
