Reading just some of the detail emphasises the constant worry and fear all these airmen must have endured on almost a day to day basis, and their bravery in enduring it.

That is a great historical record and no doubt has numerous accounts that can be attached to each in many cases 8-) 8-) 8-).
It is begging for further research to be carried out especially in the case of the German Condor aircraft that would no doubt have been on marine patrol observing the allied convoys, but suffered large losses during the war.
