-
i guess it does.....if your insurance were to find out you hadnt told them, it could invalidate your policy i guess :-/

According to this Richie it does not! :o :o :o :o
http://www.safetravel.co.uk/EuropeDrinkDrivingLimits.html
noting this in particular:
"How This Affects You
If you're banned from driving in one country, that doesn't stop you driving elsewhere in Europe. Attempting to return to that country driving a vehicle, though, will lead to your arrest. However, according to the AA, drink driving convictions abroad do not affect your UK licence. They claim that even if your licence is confiscated abroad, the foreign government will simply send it to the DVLA, which will then return it to you without penalty!"
Frankly I'm amazed! :o :o ;)

interesting :y
still reckon you would need to disclose it to your insurance though :-/

It would be interesting to know how they would ever find out, especially as there will be no record of the transgression in the UK.

no problem..
come here drink as much you can and drive at whatever speed you like ;D ;D
we aren't a part of EU..
ps: dont forget to use the right part of the road..
and I must note police here is not a good host ;D

I suspect it won't be long before all EU authorities do get their act together on this. And the Cypriot authorities will keep that conviction on record for a long time, so declaration may be best form of defense.
I have heard of someone's insurance being classed as invalid due to an unclosed ban in France :-/, no idea how insurance found out...
