As a teenager i would go round to my mates house & we would eat a whole jar of pickled onions with bread. Not strictly a sandwich, but the onions did have drastic effects the next day :o ;D

As a small child: Condensed milk, (connie-onnie), and banana.
Just after the war, both these commodities were nectar to my generation, and so hard to come by that the condensed tin can was marked to record each day's level. I took some good hidings for being unable to resist raiding it.

Bored stupid matey.

Nothing on TV.  too cold for the odd jobs I have outside, too windy for the bonfire I need to have.  A mate was coming round to help but his plans changed.  So just waiting in now for a plumber to turm op on a little warranty jobbie.

I haven't heard it called that in a while, my grandma used to send it in my grandads 'packing' when he worked in the steel works! They were lucky my great grandad was a well connected business man and seemed to come by many luxuries!!!!!!!!
I like it with strawberries (not on a butty though)!

Fave butty is a white crusty roll with beef, tomato and moyonnaise! Yum!

Take two slices of Bergen soya and linseed bread, spread liberally with a good quality crunchy peanut butter, mash a banana over one slice and dust with ground cinnamon finally top with sliced red or black grapes.

Cover with the reserved slice and enjoy with some green tea :P :P :P :-* :y

I've tried various blends and teas, but tend to come back to an ordinary cuppa!
I was gutted when I went off it during pregnancy, I really missed it! :(

...nothing wrong with the standard but to get the best result from the blends you have to use loose tea and drink it without milk.

It's too much part of my day to experiment, but I do quite like fruit teas when I'm poorly!

Green tea for breakfast!  Indian tea at tea time.

I actually prefer coffee - black, very strong - in the morning, but everyone keeps telling me it's not good for me.

I used to live in the Netherlands.  Let me tell you that the Dutch do not understand the concept of the sandwich.  Two slices of very thick bread, with a micron thick slice of ham is the best they can manage.  Anyone attempting to consume a broodje gezond or salad sandwich in public is jeered at vociferously.
