Title: Have we all filled up?
Post by: STMO999 on 31 August 2009, 18:05:26
2p per litre at midnight. Fill up now, save yourselves a fortune with those big gas guzzlers you drive. ;)

I couldn't care less what the duty is, my neighbour still supplies 25 litres of diesel for £15 no matter what  :D

Quite simple Steve.

I give him £15 sterling, he gives me 25 litres of "pump white".
I don't care where it comes from, and I doubt he cares where he gets it from either - it's just an arrangement that suits the pair of us  ;)

I can't be bothered to research the old "Brainiac" type proggys that have been on, but I'm pretty sure that it was proved that these so called "super" fuels made no difference whatsoever.

Not sure on the more MPG claims, but mine definately started better in cold weather. I had an issue with tired glo-plugs and with Tesco diesel, if it was below 3 deg C, it would be a real pain in the butt to start. With BP Ultimate it started no problem.
New glo plugs and it starts and runs fine with any old diesel.  ::)

Filled mine up today, weekly visit to S-burys. £1.049/ltr, just over £30 for 156 miles.  :(

for the sake of a couple of quid?  Nope. Cost more to go and get it probably.

No.Just been to the smoke and back on the bike so it must be nearly empty.
The car is showing about 25 miles left, but its a 15 mile round trip to Sainsburys to fill it up so any saving made would be more than offset by the trip.

nope. For the sake of a couple of quid on a fill up. Probably cost more to go and get it. And there will be a queue.

No, mind you in the scheme of things it makes no difference really as there is so much variance in my MPG.

Might get the bike tyres pumped up though  ;)
