How the f**k in god's name did the driver not notice?
More to the point, every single last one of them who drove through once he started flagging down should be nicked for without due care at the very least.

That ambulance was there quick. Would've been ages over here.

kinell. how was that possible. :-X :-X :-X :-X

It was possible because of "driver inattention", a main contributing factor in just over 85% of accidents in the UK.

I followed an HGV down the M1 for a few miles yesterday. I was knackered and decided to take it easy for a few miles. He was everywhere. Right on to the hard shoulder, back into lane 1 and straight across to lane 2. I was genuinely gonna make a call, but I didn't.

I suspect the cop that joined "The Flying Squad" was clearing the way for the ambulance to join the main carriageway without having to give way.

Yep and the copper wasnt flagging traffic down he was clearly directing it out into the outside lane to allow the ambulance to move straight onto the motorway.....

Frankly I think the rider put himself in a position that he could not easily get out of (kinda proved by the result).
Not having a reverse gear, you really have to be careful where you put yourself on a bike.
And he reacted rather late.
Hopefully he survived.

From the title he was part of an ambulance escort,
thats typical for the dutch police though, would not be the first time I have to swerve because they think a truck is slow,

think the copper needs a slap personally, i dont care how high vis you are you dont stop stationary or walk/ride out onto a motorway, i dont think the cars that colided where paying attention, but if you watch repeatedly, and gat through the buffering, youll see that if they had moved over as required they may vary well have hit the traffic in the next lane that look like they where breaking to avoid the lorrie....would have been bloody close at best.
He may have stood a chance if he parked on the solid white island and walked from there, he may have been able to dodge the car without a bike holding him still....Donkey!

I quite agree Chris, its like the people who think just because when crossing at a Zebra crossing they think that traffic has to stop for them, well they may be right but its a bit late to argue the point when your flying through the air :o.
