the blue camping mains leads we have here in the uk, would this be the same plug in france or is there a converter?. thanks. jon. :y

from memory, same connector, though a lot are only 6A iirc

Might be worth adding a shuko adaptor to your collection just in case. IIRC, that's what we had in Italy. Not that we brought any electrical items to plug in.

Newer/more modern sites use the same "blue plug" as UK ... older and most "Camping Municipal" sites use the French 2 pin
you can get adapters from most accessory shops .. or from here ..
http://www.camperlands.co.uk/store/erol.html#11193x0
go to "Mains hookup cables and Adapters" then on the next page, bottom row on the left "Continental Plug to caravan convertor" .. £4.50
As a matter of interest ... I carry 2 of those .. one has been rewired to swap the live & neutral over.
French don't bother about polarity as everything is double pole switched, but we only switch one , so reverse polarity can be a problem, by having a pre-wired reversed cable .. if I get a plinth that is reverse wired I use the "modified" adaptor and all ends up where it should be !!!

thanks for that entwood. :y
Welcome mate :y :y :y
If you don't have one, this is all you need to check polarity, dead simple to use...

again .. most accessory shops stock them.

Ahh, yes. Very handy bit of kit whenever you have to trust someone else's wiring. :y
