Title: Camshafts...found this out
Post by: Essex_Andy on 03 March 2007, 23:22:42
Well under the influence of mr jack daniels I got bored and surfed the net

And for the 2.5 V6...stock 3.0 cams offer better lift than fast road 2.5 cams

stock 3.0 offer 10.00mm lift v 9.53mm lift for fast road 2.5 kent items

And kent want circa £400 for a set

Good find....

Confirms that the cams from a 3 litre when installed in the 2.5 is a good deal.

Even allowing for a few thou' miles wear on the doner cams.....   :y

and the BHP is only very slightly reduced in comparison.

ps - and instead of Mr Jack, its a rather tasty refugee from my last French trip to the vinyards.  Glad I had a second bottle and she is away to bed.   ;)

Which wont make a blind bit of difference thanks to the followers which maintain a constant load on the cams and hence wear the entire surface at a fairly constant rate which maintains the profile......that and the fact that these cams dont seem to wear....
