Title: I an NOT going for a repeat of last year
Post by: Jimbob on 10 September 2009, 07:53:41
where I missed my MOT by 2 months or sommat daft.

So it's booked in 3 weeks early this time,

So its fingers crossed for Monday Morning.  Car has got its problems (Soon to be resolved :) ), but nothing I can see that's an MOT issue.

Does any omega not have problems!!
MOT is a farce, car wants scrapping and putting out of its misery but none of its (potentially lethal) problems will be an issue! The lights and wipers work so thats ok!!! :-?

Why not book it 4 weeks in advance next year, you are allowed 13 months on yor MOT.

I was moaning about the fact that an airfreshener can fail, but shagged suspension might not  >:(

That said, I reckon someone has sneaked more air fresheners in my car - I've been sneezing all week - but I can t find it!

I would have thought the left over burgers in your pollen filter would have counteracted them  :-X

Somewhere quite fortuitous?

I'll be on a flight to Alicante so I won't be worrying about subframe bushes, only whether I can stomach San Miguel for a week. :D

No dont worry, quite sure it will be gone by the weekend. Thunder been rumbling like mad for 2 days over the mountains. Only had 5 mins of actual rain.

Re mot how early can you test prior to you due date? I am sick to death of working on the car in the freezing cold and pitch black so i can use the car next day to get to work and re test it.

Swore blind i would get it tested  earlier in the year, (nearer the summer) last november when changing those bloody donut bushes(the ones that didnt fit) in the snow at minus 2.

Need to test it now really if poss. Just under 3 months early.????

i luv it when they go through, had 2 years in a row once with no advises, i always do something, even if its just fit new pads or a tyre, oh and wash it. just so they can see it is maintained and looks tidy enough. well done, they always drive nicer with a new mot! ;D

First head re-built last night, second head stripped, mildly ported and cleaned. So the valves will be cleaned tonight and then it will be re-built ready for the weekend.
